Skyline Hikers--part II
On our first full day in camp, we experienced mostly sunny skies in the morning. We hiked from our camp to a pass and
looked down at the valley where our camp site was located.
Camping in the "wilderness" with the Skyline Hikers is a riot as the pictures below will illustrate. There were two of the
biggest propane bottles I have ever seen just outside our eating tent. The propane powered a hot water heater as well
as the stove.
Barbara cooked outrageous good food on
the stove. We had roast pork, beef, and
ham on different nights. Each morning there
were fresh eggs, pancakes, sausage and
much more.

All of the equipment was brought into this
wilderness spot by horse and helicopter.
There were two long tables
with benches in the
restaurant and kitchen tent
where we all ate together.
Our hostess and host at the camp were
Jenny and Dick. They  did a marvelous
job of making the outing entertaining as
well as making us all feel welcome. For
our last night's dinner, Jenny and Dick
dressed in formal attire to welcome us
into the dining tent.

The camp was equipped with six "biffys"
(outhouses) as well as a latrine with a
fabulous view of the camp.
I could not imagine anything more spectacular than what we had experienced, but then we went over the pass and
looked down at another valley. This was our lunch spot.
