| Hike to Elwha Overlook Klahhane Hike December 23, 2009 |
This hike begins in a very beautiful spot with lots of mossy trees.
We arrived first, and then Carolyn, and then pretty soon the whole group in car pools.
And then it is up the trail.

The trail gained elevation very fast, and soon we began to see traces of snow.
Eventually we arrived at what would be our lunch spot. No one made it to the official Elwha Overlook, but most went somewhat
further than we did.

Kim Weimer went about ten minutes beyond where we stopped and then turned back.
After lunch we returned down the trail and to the road where we had parked our car in the mossy forest.
