Galapagos Part II - Iguanas
In addition to the marine iguana,
there was the land iguana which ate
cactus (below).
There were also many
interesting lizards (left).

Sometimes there were
hundreds of marine
iguanas in one spot
(below).
The Galapagos, like the Antarctic, is unique in that many of the mammals and birds have no fear of predators on land so they
permit visits to come very close.
