In just two days, Jackie identified 150 species of birds at Tandayapa Bird Lodge in Ecuador. The lodge is located

We had two terrific guides in Jose and Marcellus. Where I
saw nothing, they found all kinds of birds. Fortunately, they
were impressed with Jackie's birding skills.

Many of the birds were brilliant in color and could easily be seen with a scope. However, my cameras were not up to

The cloud forest was a magic place. It rained
much of the time, sometimes quite hard. I felt
as if I were in the movie Romancing the Stone.
