Paddling the Broken Islands with the
Port Ludlow paddling group - 2006.
The Port Ludlow Paddling Group was founded by John Reseck. John is admired by all who know him. As a young man, he
built his first kayak and then paddled it solo to Catalina island with little kayak experience. He was the first human to swim
under the Ross Sea Shelf. He participated in exotic and dangerous James Bond type missions for the CIA. Today he lives in
Port Ludlow with his wife Sharon where he plays an important role in the Auxiliary Coast Guard. He is pictured above on our
trip with Sharon and their grandson Ben. Sharon did all the work of organizing the trip. Ben comes from a poor family in
Orange County, California. He must be poor as he did not wear shoes.
